A brief word on double entendres...

Individual Poems
To Speak of the Human Condition
from "The Fear, the Fog"
(Buy on Etsy)
It would be cruel
to define the human condition,
to tell people how they are,
and to tell them what they do.
I see the bars that hold them in
made of words like mine.
All of the things that bind them here,
and keep them from the sky.
No one has a truth to say
that isn't imposing and cruel.
All of the things that make us fly
are the things that make us die.
