A brief word on double entendres...

Individual Poems
Positioned Between Worlds
from "Fire and Milk"
(Buy on Etsy)
Without too much remorse,
the sky dropped rain
as the wind buffeted acorns
on a gnarled oak.
Above the clouds:
The colors of dawn changed slowly,
looking like a dangerous sky
brightly-colored like a venomous fish
that swam over the horizon.
The jet flew into the clouds,
positioned between worlds.
